HVAC System/Air Duct Cleaning
TCWRC professionals regularly inspect the heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit (HVAC) to ensure highest level of air quality.
We inspect the entire air duct system to determine the level of contamination (interior air may be tested for allergy and disease-causing pollutants, such as fungi).
Furnishings are protected before the cleaning process begins. Our technicians use drop cloths and boot covers to protect floors and carpeting. There will be no evidence of dust or dirt left in any of part of the home as a result of the cleaning process (depending on how long it's been since you had your ducts cleaned).
Our Truck-Mounted Vacuum Collection System is connected to the ductwork and the entire system is placed under a negative pressure to establish a "containment" on the duct system.
Vent registers and grills are removed and, if necessary are hand scrubbed and dirty ceilings around vents are vacuumed.
Supply and return ductwork is mechanically cleaned using our unique process -- a system that brushes (brushes are only used in the basement on even surfaces), and vacuums all contaminants from the duct system. Small access holes are cut into the ductwork to properly access the system. All holes are properly sealed with access panels. The central unit, fan, filter, plenum, coil are all cleaned using the same process.
Biological contamination are removed from the system and captured in the Vacuum Collection System.
Filter effectiveness is evaluated and high efficiency air filters may be installed in the central air system at an additional cost to prevent it from becoming recontaminated.
Transit Air vents are located in the basement floor of some homes and are a specialty vent. We clean each vent individually. Often what occurs with transit vents is that water or moisture can build up in the basement. The vents will actually accumulate water and the debris that is inside the vent adheres to the walls once the water or moisture dries. A transit air duct cleaning removes this debris for optimal air flow.
TCWRC technicians go to each branch line and use a tool called an air-wand. The air-wand uses compressed air to push all the debris down to the main trunk lines, where there is a high vacuum hose inserted to remove all debris into our van- mounted equipment. Once the technician has completed the initial air sweep, he will use an item called an air-snake with a reverse nozzle and insert it into the trunk line, pulling any remaining dust and debris back to the vacuum. We clean all return lines and supply lines within your household.

Once the technician has completed the initial air sweep, an item called a Rotary Brush with a reverse nozzle will be used. It will be inserted into the trunk line where the brush will rotate inside the ductwork using compressed air in combination with a pneumatic motor for additional power to pull any dust and debris that is stuck on the side walls of the trunk lines and any free floating debris back to the vacuum.
